Art

Art was always apart of my life, ever since young I liked to draw and color objects not even knowing why people did that. At first I did it just for the fun, but overtime I started to feel a connection between everything that I did. I came to a realisation that art is anything and everything, no matter how small, big, wide, deep or even something that may seem hideous is art. The image above was the final outcome of my 'O' Level Art examination, while the photo on the right was my experimentation with light and perspective. I hope to inspire and spread the artsy spirit to the next generation because all in all, the world believe it or not needs art to brighten things up.

Fencing

This is my other interest, fencing. I was first introduced to the sport at the early age of 10, and I instantly fell in love with it when I first held the weapon. During my fencing journey I have competeted in various fencing competiitons and also won my fair share of victories and deafeats. I would say that fencing is a unusual and expensive sport, as the cost for the mandatory equipment to compete or should I say "play" can cost up to $1500 total. In my lastest tornamant 26th March, I did not perform up to standard and it took a toll on me. The feeling of self doubt, as I wanted to perform well to get my ranking points for nationals. Not only was I angry, I was asking myself why I had not done better and also the question whether I could have done better? Fencing is indeed a very competitive sport, when the mask is off we're all friends, but once the mask goes on, we are enemies!

Calisthenics

Being fit was always something I strived for in primary school. I used to be bullied by my "friends" where they would call me fat. Ever since then, I controlled what I was putting in my body and also did research on what foods I should be consuming and how much of it. After a year, I lost about 10kg and I looked an felt totally different. After a while, I got more in depth to my cause and started to weigh foods I ate as well as journaling the amount of carbs, protein and fats I consumed in a day. I would also journal what exercises I did for the day and how I was feeling. This gt my parents worried, at the time I felt that I was doing nothing wrong but yet my parents told me stop what I was doing. After I listened to them I felt a lot better as it felt like a buren has been lifted off my shoulder. I still continued to journal but not about my food, just my exercises and my experiences. All in all it was a great experience and the best thing was I learnt everything off YouTube!
